SARAECE held another Knowledge Sharing Seminar (KSS) on 13 June; a successful and insightful seminar entitled, “Empowering Early Childhood Education: Insights from the Tashkent Declaration and DBE’s Latest Initiatives”. This was presented by Dr Yoshie Kaga (‘Learning to Live Together’ Team Leader at UNESCO Regional Bureau for West Africa) and Dr Janeli Kotzé (Acting Head for ECD at the Department of Basic Education). The Tashkent Declaration’s key commitments, actions and important consideration as well as our own government’s plans and commitments in terms of ECE and ECE research were shared. A great discussion by attendees followed.
